The successful candidate will have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Must have enthusiasm for attacking the blank page, and bring — or quickly develop — subject-matter knowledge, expertise, and proficiency to earn the trust of sophisticated internal clients.
Specific responsibilities include: Develop and implement strategies firmwide to win new clients and grow existing client relationships; Work with partners on pitches, RFP responses, and individual business plans; Maintain practice collateral, including proposals, presentations, and experience; Research new business opportunities and potential clients; Lead Chambers and Legal 500 submissions; Maintain experience descriptions and listings of representative matters; Promote practice cross-selling; Manage business-development related events, including pre- and post-event outreach; Create and maintain reports to track program success.
You must possess a bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of business-development experience in professional services. Law-firm experience strongly preferred, and financial services experience a plus.
