Senior Manager, Client Services (Marketing) - Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas or Los Angeles
The Firm is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager of Client Services to be resident in our Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas or Los Angeles office.

The Senior Manager of Client Services is responsible for the development and implementation of the key account and cross-selling programs for the US.  This is a new and important role for Dentons, as the firm continues to invest in the area of client satisfaction. Dentons seeks a driven, high-energy candidate, who can demonstrate progress to match client needs with lawyer talent, and the development of related services and best practices.

The Senior Manager of Client Services will help to identify client accounts that represent significant potential for cross-office and cross-practice growth and work collaboratively to develop comprehensive account plans designed to achieve growth goals and strategic account objectives.  The senior manager will support the expansion of client relationships, identify areas of growth and opportunities and develop service offerings.  In addition he/she is expected to work with the Chief Client Services Officer to lead initiatives in line with strategy and best practice, ensuring key objectives in the business plans are achieved.

 

  Responsibilities
  •  Support the firm's Client Strategies Committee to identify client accounts that represent significant growth opportunity and develop and execute strategic account plans to institutionalize and strengthen these relationships
•  Collect and analyze client service feedback through the firm’s client interviews and surveys
•  Develop and package service offerings - whether to match a specific client need, or to address a trend in the market or a new area of law
•  Collaborate with the Chief Client Services Officer and Business Development Director to establish best practices regarding business development approaches
•  Work with other regions to identify cross-practice global opportunities
•  Create targeted pursuit materials and pricing for cross-selling and new client generation
•  Maintain a strong knowledge of the firm’s global practices and service platform including industry trends and competitive landscape
•  Attend targeted seminars, conferences and other firm-sponsored events as a means of furthering existing and developing new client relationships
•  Coach lawyers on the use of client development/sales tools and processes
•  Track and present account development and revenue growth through periodic reporting
•  Participate in special projects at the request of the Chief Client Strategies Officer
•  Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

 



Specific Requirements
 

•  Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in client development or sales roles in a law or professional services firm; a large national or international firm preferred
•  Demonstrated knowledge of the marketplace for professional and legal services
•  Experience working with client teams and account plans involving diverse cross-disciplinary service teams
•  Excellent interpersonal skills, including professionalism, judgment, attention to detail, discretion and ability to work independently
•  Must be able to interface effectively with lawyers, build consensus, and be a self-starter with attention to details
•  Polished presentation and written/verbal communications skills
•  Proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels and to influence senior professionals to help them achieve their business development objectives
•  Willingness to work hands-on to achieve objectives in an environment with little leverage
•  Ideal candidate should possess diplomacy, perseverance, as well as a client service attitude and sense of humor
•  Must be competent in all software and related procedures, including understanding of the budget process
•  Travel to other offices within the firm as required
