Content & Social Media Coordinator
Stroock, a major Wall Street law Firm, has an opening for a Content and Social Media Coordinator in the Business Development and Marketing department. This role is primarily responsible for drafting content for a broad range of external and internal communication vehicles, including social media postings, newsletters, website content, brochures, invitations, advertising copy and other marketing materials.

Day-toDay Responsibilities:

  • Write timely content for website and internal newsletter and other firm communications, based on practice group activities, successes (wins, deals, etc.), thought leadership activities, pro bono efforts, events, executive initiatives, and more. 
  • In charge of maintaining the firm’s external website and all social media platforms by keeping the content up-to-date and with relevant news, articles and notable events.
  • Publish, edit and maintain all relevant content, in addition to working with the appropriate channels, to ensure firm information is maintained and up-to-date on third party websites.Monitor and respond to all mentions and/or comments about the firm.
  • In charge ofthe development and visibility of the brand by identifying best practices to enhance implementation and reach of all digital content.
  • Work directly with the attorneys on how to best utilize various social media tools to increase the firm’s following, while adhering to the appropriate protocols.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and enhancing social media content, and maintaining participative communities across legal platforms.
  • In charge of collecting and analyzing web data analytics using various monitoring tools to measure and report on the overall impact and level of social media engagement.
  • Assist with marketing department activities as required, including hosting events, distribution of promotional items, and other marketing-related activities.

Specific Requirements

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or other related field preferred
  • Minimum of three of experience in digital marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and experience with content management systems. Must have a solid understanding of search engine analytics, a keen understanding of existing social media applications, and fluency in emerging digital, social and content trends.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and an up-to-date awareness of marketing techniques.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and judgment when responding to issues in the public social media space.
  • Must be a team player, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Prior experience working in a legal or professional services firm preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
