Practice Development Manager - Global Finance (2912)

As a PDM – Global Finance, you will use your marketing/BD experience to contribute to the planning/implementation of goals/objectives of the dept while accomplishing these functions:

  • Managing operations of, supervising, mentoring & developing direct reports
  • Operating as a strategic advisor
  • Advising/supporting leadership & team to identify, develop new/enhance client relationships.
  • Assisting leadership w/ management of client retention & cross-selling programs 
  • Outlining strategies, goals, metrics & objectives
  • Creating/overseeing plans, programs & budgets
  • Driving implementation of tactics/initiatives
  • Working to develop/drive cross-selling strategies & internal communication plans
  • Identifying thought leadership opportunities & overseeing implementation/execution
  • Coordinating w/ PR team to ensure BD/PR efforts are complementary. Ensuring significant matters are publicized
  • Identifying opportunities from sponsoring conferences/organizations whereby complementary attendance passes exist/developing approach for disseminating passes.


Specific Requirements

As a Practice Development Manager – Global Finance, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Practice Development Manager – Global Finance must have knowledge of core marketing principals, including internal communications, public relations, seminar/event planning, branding, market research, competitive intelligence, credentials and RFP response preparation.  An ideal candidate will display excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective management and strong analytical skills, including synthesizing and presenting research data to attorneys and BD Department management.  The Manager will possessthe ability to perceive and analyze problems, and a make or recommend sound decisions, as well as the ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions.

 

A Bachelor’s degree is required, as well as more than three(3) years of supervisory/management experience.  More than eight (8) years of progressively responsible business development and marketing experience in legal/professional services is desired.  Some travel is required of this position.

The Practice Development Manager – Global Finance will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance.
